FINE -C

FINE -C is the acronym for the start up procedure taught at the Basic Rider Course. A product of the MSF , it is part of the pre ride check lists after T-CLOCS that a new rider is taught.

FUEL- turn your fuel on if you have a fuel petcock (if you have one)

IGNITION- turn your key to the on position

NEUTRAL- place your bike in neutral (some riders park their in 1st gear to prevent the bike from rolling)

ENGINE CUT-OFF SWITCH- place the switch into the on or “run” position ( note some small cc bikes are kick start only)

CLUTCH /CHOKE- if choke is necessary, turn it on; always start the motorcycle with the clutch squeezed in.
